Fees and Payments
Hourly Rate
Donald Parkyn’s hourly fee for professional services is $300.00
A lower hourly fee will apply for support services
Initial Valuation
$300.00 for the development of an opinion as to a fair value for the community interest in a retirement plan. This fee is contingent on the client providing all of the information necessary for the valuation at the outset and submitting all questions by email. An additional charge will apply if all information is not provided at the outset. Atypical plans may involve additional charges.
Additional Valuation
$200.00 for the development of each additional opinion as to a fair value for the community interest in the same dissolution. This fee is contingent on the client providing all of the information necessary for the valuation at the outset. An additional charge will apply if all such information is not provided. Atypical plans may involve additional charges. Again, this fee is based on all questions being submitted by email.
QDRO-type Orders
$750.00 to draft QDRO or QDRO-type division order and reasonable response to plan objections. Atypical plans or discovery may involve additional charges. Basic fee does not include actuarial valuations, negotiations, revisions to draft resulting from negotiation of parties, discovery, orders drafted for atypical plans, meetings, etc.
Additional Charges
A limited amount of time will be provided to explain any reports or conclusions, by email, within the basic fee, however, additional fees will be charged if excessive time is involved. Extra charges may apply for telephone consultation. Charges are based on the time involved, and include time spent on telephone calls, correspondence, negotiations, discovery efforts, research, and preparation for testimony at disposition or trial.
Responsibility for Payment
Donald W. Parkyn (Parkyn) agrees to perform professional services for client based on the fee structure outlined above and where such fees are paid in advance. Payment by credit card is accepted by PayPal. Credit will be extended to attorneys where a single attorney agrees to assume the entire responsibility for full payment of Parkyn’s fees and expenses.
